About Chris Woods


For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of leading global teams, developing leaders, and serving organizations experiencing rapid growth and transformation.


My career has included serving as a Google sales leader and as a four-time global C-suite executive, where I saw firsthand both the tremendous investment organizations make in leadership development and the challenge of consistently translating those investments into lasting organizational value.


Over time, I came to believe that leadership development and Leadership Optimization are not the same thing.


Leadership development helps build leadership capability.


Leadership Optimization™ helps organizations realize even more value from that capability.


That distinction became the foundation for the DNA Alignment Framework™.


A Personal Turning Point


At age 40, I flatlined in a hospital bed.


That experience permanently changed my perspective on leadership, success, and the way people build meaningful lives and careers.


It reinforced a conviction that has shaped everything I've built since:


Real growth doesn't begin by becoming someone else.


It begins by understanding what already creates value, intentionally building upon it, and courageously evolving the few patterns that unnecessarily limit our potential.


That philosophy now guides both my work with leaders and the discipline of Leadership Optimization™.
